Get into the spirit of the season with our Holiday Board Game Class, where fun meets strategy and learning! In this four-session series, students in grades 4–8 will come together to create their own games to play during family holiday gatherings! By designing customized versions of Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, students will develop research skills, deepen their understanding of game play, and strengthen their leadership abilities as they practice hosting the games they create.
Melissa is an involved Heartwise volunteer, and her enthusiasm, energy and ideas led her to become one of our new teachers! She is a homeschooling mom and grew up as a homeschooled student herself. Before having children, she worked as a registered nurse. Melissa will be facilitating the Game Masters class, helping kids to create their own family games to lead during holiday gatherings.
